Toothpaste Ingredients & Benefits

  • Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Extract – Polishing agent.
  • Bromelain –Bromelain is a general name for a family of sulfhydryl proteolytic enzymes obtained from Ananas comosus, the pineapple plant.
  • Bromelain is particularly useful for reducing tissue inflammation.
  • Calcium Glycerophosphate - Offers protection against acid attacks (buffer power against saliva’s pH). A reinforcing of the tooth by mineralization (calcium and phosphor supplement). Because the calcium is combined to an organic glycerophosphate anion, there is good vectorisation of the calcium mineral element – good absorption and therefore improved calcium bioavailability.
  • Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract – Anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant, and anti-plaque properties. Source of Epigallocatechin Gallate (a potent antioxidant) and Xanthines.
  • Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil – Flavor enhancer.Cocamidopropyl Betaine - A very mild amphoteric surfactant with a neutral taste. A milder alternative for those who are sensitive to sodium lauryl sulfate.
  • Commiphora Myrrha Resin – Antibacterial properties.
  • Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract – Antioxidant properties. Source of Beta Carotene.
  • Echinacea Angustifolia Extract – Antibacterial, antiseptic properties.
  • Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Extract – Source of phosphorus. Flavor enhancer.
  • Hydrastis Canadensis (Golden Seal) Extract –Antibacterial, antiseptic properties. Source of Hydrastine and Berberine.
  • Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil – Antiseptic, bactericide, and fungicidal properties.
  • Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract – Antiseptic properties.
  • Stevia Rebaudiana Extract - Flavor enhancer. Contains steviosides, rebaudiosides, sterols, flavonoids, and tannins.
  • Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Extract – Source of ascorbic acid, calcium, and quercetin.

Sodium bicarbonate - (soda) water-soluble, slightly alkaline, helps neutralize mouth-bacteria produced acids that weaken tooth enamel, also helps prevent plaque-formation where bacteria multiply (helps reduce yellowing, and slight discoloration of teeth)

Anise oil - Essential oil, traditionally used for breath freshening, with good concentration of natural phenols that have good anti-bacterial activity in the mouth, lessening bad-breath, aromatic compounds in anise oil are of pleasant taste and lasting-pleasant smell.

Glycerin (vegetable origin) - Soothing humectant, help coat sensitive tissues, of sweet taste, and slight anti-bacterial activity (contributing to reduction of bacteria in the mouth)

Calcium ascorbate -
Water soluble version of Vitamin C. Dual benefit of 1).providing direct Ascorbate (absorbable Vit. C) to gum tissues (against scurvy) and 2) donating soluble Calcium Ion to help remineralize calcium in tooth enamel ( counteracts: bacterial acids leaching out calcium which weakens dental enamel.)
